Die Sicht der Bandmitglieder

Witchy Nightmare, Samstag, 17.

Here we go:

Roger: Guys, they want to induct us into the Hall Of Fame. Who of you guys is willing to attend the ceremony?
--- Pause ---
Roger: Guys, did you read my post?
--- Pause ---
Roger: Nobody willing to go there?
Ian P: Okay, okay ... if they offer some beer there, I'll go. Hopefully it won't last too long.
Ian G: I'm not interested.
Ritchie: They won't invite me anyway, I'm no longer a band member.
Roger: Ritiche, that's wrong. It's well possible that former members get invited.
Ritchie: But I'm not interested. They should continue inducting their disco and hip-hop stars and keep their hands from serious rock musicians.
Roger: If the serious rock musicians refuse being inducted, they have no other choice than inducting disco and hip-hop acts.
Ritchie: I don't care. I'm not interested.
Ian G: If Ritchie comes to the ceremony, I'll stay away from it.
Ritchie: Ian, don't worry. I won't go there.
Roger: Don, what about you?
Don: I don't have time for that. I'm busy writing the songs for our next album.
JLT: I'll go there. S&M was one of the greatest DP albums ever.
Roger: Joe, stop fooling us. S&M was a debacle.
JLT: Ritchie keeps saying that S&M was one of the greatest DP albums ever!
Roger: Joe, please spare us these stories. We're here to talk about the HOF induction, not about what the best DP album was.
Glenn: It's too late to induct Deep Purple. Tommy and Jon are no longer living.
Ian G: Who is Tommy?
Glenn: Tommy Bolin.
Ian G: Ah, you mean the guy that did the funk album with you?
Glenn: It was one of the greatest albums DP ever did.
Roger: Folks, once again: We're not here to discuss our albums, we're here to discuss the HOF.
Ian G: I'm not interested.
Ritchie: I don't care.
David: If they induct Whitesnake, I'll go there. When it's about DP, I'll go there if you go there.
Nick: If you hadn't fired me in 1969, they would invite me for sure.
Roger: Nick, please. We're not here to discuss these things.
Rod: I won't go there. The guys who played with me in Mexico in 1980 won't go there too.
Roger: Please, folks, at least try to take this issue a bit seriously. Our fans want us to go there.
Ritchie: My fans don't want. They want me to play castles in Germany.
Ian G: Roger didn't mean Blackmore's Night fans.
Ritchie: I don't care. If your fans want you to go, then go.
Ian G: I won't go there.
Ritchie: So why do you say my fans are irrelevant when your fans are irrelevant too?
Ian G: Our fans aren't irrelevant. It's just what they want about this HOF thing which is irrelevant.
Roger: Guys, if we want to give the fans something back, we have to go there.
Ian P: We give them something back every show we do. We play all the old songs they want to hear although we're completely fed up with them.
Roger: Steve, what about you?
Steve: I'll go there if Kansas or the Dixie Dregs get inducted. If it's about DP, I cannot go there without you.
JLT: Steve, I'll go with you, so you won't be alone.
Steve: Joe, were you actually in DP?
JLT: Of course I was in DP! I did one of the greatest DP albums ever!
Roger: Folks, please.
(At this moment Roger notices that Joe Satriani is missing from the chat. But even Roger cannot imagine that Joe would be the right one to go to the ceremony for DP, so he doesn't mention him.)
David: Roger, who told you that the fans want us to go there?
Roger: I've read it on the Internet.
Ian P: The Internet is a desert of nonsense. I don't care.
Ian G: Yeah, there are some 12 year olds who know Smoke On The Water from their grandparents. They can be satisfied as well when they induce Justin Bieber.
Roger: Okay ... it seems that we won't get an agreement about who of us goes there ...
Ritchie: I don't care.
JLT: As I said: I'll go there. And I'll perform Love Conquers All, one of the greatest DP songs ever!
Roger: Okay, okay. I'll write a mail to the induction committee saying that Joe, Nick and I will go to the ceremony. Perhaps Mike Bradford or Jürgen Blackmore is willing to join us. I hope this will satisfy the fans.
